The Huffington Post, an atrocious place, has put up a video where they claim that McCain apparently wanted to talk with Hamas back in 2006.

Now, I’m not coming to the defense of John McCain here and since the video shows that McCain believed that Hamas was worth even acknowledging I’m going to go ahead and label him under the “WTF were you thinking” category. However, It’s not like the other Democratic candidates are innocent on making stupid foriegn policy remarks.

Let’s take Obama for instance: Although he claims the contrary now and seem to be screaming that he ‘never said he would talk directly with Iran or Ahmadenijad there IS such things as video and recordings that he apparently forgot that we could just call up at a whim.

Not to mention that Ed Morrisey over at HotAir found this little picture with the help of Allahpundit that explains exactly what Obama plans on doing with in regards of foriegn policy and diplomacy:

Considering that Iran has about as much of a glorious record as Hamas and both leaderships are equally bat-crap crazy I would not think that either of McCain’s or Obama’s comments were any different. Like I said before, I’m not defending McCain….I’m just proving that it’s not just the evil, nasty, dirty, rethuglicans who make stupid comments regarding foriegn policy.

Hillary Clinton has made a few off-hand comments about Iran too, but the last time I checked those consisted of “obliterating” them or something like that. While not as pussy-footed as diplomacy I can’t see how instant destruction is all that beneficial either. Although I must commend the girl for wearing her ovaries on the outside when saying that, so she’s probably much tougher than Obama when it comes down to national security.

She’s still a lefty socialist that wishes to drive this country in to ruin, so the quasi-praise she was recieving just now ends there.

So, honestly Huffpo, if your going to run a piece directly attacking a candidate then why not turn that malice hose on spread and shower em all with it. Also, lets not forget that Hamas has actually endorsed Obama and one of your own Democrat buddies, Jimmy Carter, just went over there and tried to get all buddy buddy with them.

So, yeah, when you try to push some biased piece forward to mud-sling make sure that the people YOU are pandering to aren’t doing the same type of crap.

Yes, the world’s Most Angry Man has decided to lower the boom on any film in the Cannes Film Festival that isn’t “political”. Well, to be more accurate, he means any film that doesn’t align itself with HIS own personal views cannot be considered for the Festival’s top prize.

Penn said it was impossible to separate film from politics, and promised that the winning film would be a reflection of the current climate.

“One way or another, when we select the Palme d’Or winner, I think we are going to feel very confident that the film-maker who made the film is very aware of the times in which he or she lives.”

How hard is it to make a damn beverage advertisement?

It’s an easy four step process:

Step 1: Make tasty beverage and say to oneself “This shit is awesome…we should sell it!”

Step 2: Find market to sell it to and hire advertisement firm to sell your new tasty beverage.

Step 3: Make advertisement that DOES NOT INVOLVE ANTHROPAMORPHIC NUDE BEARS WEARING FIG LEAVES AND THE WORST LOOK ON ITS FACE EVER!!

Step 4: Profit.

I am going to be speaking on a few comments that John McCain made in his speech today.

So, exactly how good of a speech did a leftist-pandering old man make today to try and save his hide in the general election? I am not impressed. He’s supposed to be making the speech as if his first term was already over with and that these are the accomplishments he has made. So, it’s like a giant “WHAT IF” speech.

By January 2013, America has welcomed home most of the servicemen and women who have sacrificed terribly so that America might be secure in her freedom. The Iraq War has been won.

Ok, ok, good start. McCain starts off by telling everyone what they want to hear: “We’re bringing our boys home and we’ve won”. Ok, yeah, that’s a good message.

The United States and its allies have made great progress in advancing nuclear security. Concerted action by the great democracies of the world has persuaded a reluctant Russia and China to cooperate in pressuring Iran to abandon its nuclear ambitions, and North Korea to discontinue its own.

In other words he means we’re not going to be doing this by force. Whenever anyone speaks about getting China and Russia together to solve an issue alongside the United States it isn’t done with well planned aerial attacks. It’s done with useless United Nations diplomacy drivel. So, already he has stepped on my toes.

After efforts to pressure the Government in Sudan over Darfur failed again in the U.N. Security Council, the United States, acting in concert with a newly formed League of Democracies, applied stiff diplomatic and economic pressure that caused the government of Sudan to agree to a multinational peacekeeping force, with NATO countries providing logistical and air support, to stop the genocide that had made a mockery of the world’s repeated declaration that we would “never again” tolerant such inhumanity.

League of Democracies? Made up of whom? It seems to me that this is just more of the same thing we are getting now. Basically he’s just saying he is totally going to be working with the U.N. all the time and will be trying to avoid anything that involves force. What a weak-kneed leader he will become.

Congress has just passed by a single up or down vote a tax reform proposal that offers Americans a choice of continuing to file under the rules of the current complicated and burdensome tax code or use a new, simpler, fairer and flatter tax, with two rates and a generous deduction.

It’s not “generous” to stop stealing American workers money, John. Besides the Flat Tax is nothing short of a piece of crap tax reform policy that is basically like stamping a band-aid over a severed leg. If you REALLy wanted to introduce tax-reform you would support the Fair Tax instead, but I just don’t think your that smart.

The United States is well on the way to independence from foreign sources of oil; progress that has not only begun to alleviate the environmental threat posed from climate change, but has greatly improved our security as well. A cap and trade system has been implemented, spurring great innovation in the development of green technologies and alternative energy sources.

*facepalm*

Border state governors have certified and the American people recognize that after tremendous improvements to border security infrastructure and increases in the border patrol, and vigorous prosecution of companies that employ illegal aliens, our southern border is now secure. Illegal immigrants who broke our laws after they came here have been arrested and deported. Illegal immigration has been finally brought under control, and the American people accepted the practical necessity to institute a temporary worker program and deal humanely with the millions of immigrants who have been in this country illegally.

The first part of that paragraph is complete and utter bullshit. The only part of that paragraph that matters to McCain is the part that I put in bold. Notice that the way he words it that we will have to “accept” the humane was of dealing with these millions of immigrants. Translation? He’s going to give them Amnesty. Oh! I know he just said in a sentence before that they will be arrested and deported but I guarantee you that as soon as that happens ONCE that some group or lawyer will show up and claim that what is being done is “inhumane”.

Then, as if someone flipped a switch, McCain will say “We need Amnes—Uh…Comprehensive Immigration Reform!!!!” and then that pen will get waved and Amnesty will be granted to all of these criminals who have invaded our country.

Joy.

If I am elected President, I will work with anyone who sincerely wants to get this country moving again. I will listen to any idea that is offered in good faith and intended to help solve our problems, not make them worse.

In other words: “I’m going to be working with the Liberals and Leftists who I retardedly pander to. Conservatives can take a hike.”

The era of problem solving will begin. I promise you, from the day I am sworn into office until the last hour of my presidency, I will work with anyone, of either party, to make this country safe, prosperous and proud. And I won’t care who gets the credit.

Except for your own party’s base. Conservatives. Other than that he’ll work with damn near everyone!

No, I won’t take parts of Rush’s article and quote it for your convenience, so I suggest you get to clicking that link up there and reading it. That is, of course, if you don’t already listen to the show for some weird reason.

Rush does bring up an interesting point though. He goes in to explain that he notices that the only country to ever be blamed for Global Warming is the United States of America, and he would be 100% correct on that one. China, India, Russia, The entire Middle East (with their constant production of that stuff that the left thinks is so damned evil…what was it? oh yeah, Oil.) Venezuela, and pretty much the entire world gets a pass on the whole carbon emissions thing. However, when you throw America in to the mix the world is apparently in danger from the SCARY GREEN-HOUSE GASES.

Dun dun dun!

The reason? Well, it’s just as Rush says: Capitalism. The rest of the world, some 40 odd years ago, switched in to a socialist mind-set and it quickly spread to the rest of the world and then leaked in to America. Europe, Asia, South America and beyond all gobbled up this ridiculous mantra and their economic progresses have been abyssmal at best. However, here America sits, still fighting off Socialism and Communism that threatens to infect our governments even further and because of our past struggles to keep Capitalism alive we have progressed much farther than any other country in the world. Ok, Japan is awesome and really high-tech but until I get my giant robots I refuse to concede defeat in progress to them.

Radical Environmentalism is a direct opponent to anything remotely similar in function to a Capitalist society. Why? because Capitalism succeeds and flourishes where there is limited government regulation (read: oppressive federal control). Environmentalism needs the government to stretch it’s powers further because the enviro-assholes believe that people must be forced to change their lifestyles and live a certain way instead of letting people live freely and without restraint.

Just look at what the Green-Peace nuts and the environmentalist dorks have done to our economy already! A gallon of gas is $3.70 right now and the price of crude oil per barrel is (last time I checked) something over $130.00. Wanna know why? because America is being constrained in it’s very own homeland by the constant over-reaching of the federal government and the restrictions on drilling and refinery production placed in this country. All in the name of saving a few Polar bears or Caribou.

What is it? 80% of our oil is imported from other countries? Why? Well, because of the constant restrictions placed upon us by interfering special interests groups that don’t understand how the economy works or deliberately hinders it.

However, and this is the saddening part, there isn’t a candidate running now that wants to stand up and protect Capitalism or Energy independence. No, they want to continue to pander to the environmental groups and “save the planet even though the planet doesn’t really need saving and never has”.

Ugh..

So, basically some scientist is just coming forward and saying the exact same Global Warming Alarmist mantra that we’ve heard ever since the Goracle made his abortive-mess of a documentary? Gee, I was kinda hoping they would mix it up a bit and throw a twist in there but it doesn’t appear that they will. Shall we read more to find out?

The study’s conclusions go further than the most recent report by the
Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, which concluded last year that
man-made climate change was “likely” to have had a discernible
effect on the planet.

It says natural climate variations cannot explain the changes to the Earth’s

Apparently these douchebags didn’t get the memo that we’ve already pretty much narrowed it down as to what was causing the warming. Hint: It rhymes with “son”.

The authors said there was an urgent need to study environmental systems in
South America, Australia and Africa, especially in tropical and subtropical

Translation: “We need more money. We’re desperately need more funding because our other alarmist reports seem to be running a bit thin on the finance sector.”

This is the biggest hit piece I have ever seen by the left to try and steer the public towards Environmental wacko Earth worship. This actually makes it seem like Mankind is some kind of disease upon the planet and generally the only people who believe or think up such rubbish are evil masterminds in movies who plan to wipe out humanity “for the sake of the world”.

Then again…the Left seems to be chock full of people who would absolutely LOVE to destroy society in the name of environmentalism so, I guess, we shouldn’t be too surprised when they release garbage like this and then try and play it up as news.
